Yin Chengzong: a well-known Chinese pianist and an accomplished composer. He won the Gold Medal for Piano at the World's Youth Peace & Friendship Festival in Vienna in 1959 and the Second Prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 1962.

Mr. Yin played as the soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra and the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra. He is the only oriental artist whose performance appeared four times in solo recital in the Carnegie Hall in New York in 1991, 1993 and 1996 as well as his special performance there for its 100 anniversary since his triumphant debut there in 1983.
